LED SPECIFIC WARRANTY

While 99.999% of our leds will arrive in working condition and will last up to 100,000 hours (thats over 11 years) ocassionally people call or email saying they got some bad leds from us. While that can happen, the percentage of leds we get from the manufacturer that are bad is only .001%

Again, 99.999% of the problems people have with leds are that they did one of the following things to the led:

1. hooked them up to a battery capable of producing enough current to destroy the leds, without the proper current limiting resistors in place

2. hooked them up to a power supply capable of producing enough current to destroy the leds, without the proper current limiting resistors in place

3. hooked up many leds in parallel to an un-regulated power supply, thereby creating an overdriven condition in some of the leds

4. allowed the leds to operate in such a way that exceeded the temperature range of the leds

5. Otherwise provided an electrical condition wherby the leds maximum ratings were exceeded, if only for a few milliseconds.

Therefore, we offer the following warranty on all leds.

All leds are guaranteed to arrive in working condition.

Claims for defective leds must be made within 7 days from the day of receipt.

Every led is tested, either by us or by the manufacturer, before it leaves our warehouse.

If the LED fails to light up we will replace the LED provided you return the LED to us, postage paid, and the LED has not be subjected to adverse conditions such as but not limited to; voltage or current, either forward or reverse, beyond the manufacturers published specifications, pressure breaks, extreme heat or cold, exposure to liquid, chemicals, solder damage etc. We will inspect the LED first. Our inspection will consist of electrical tests, making sure the contacts still exist on the LED and visual and microscopic inspection to make sure there is no visible physical damage such as a melted or broken lens. This warranty does not cover leds that continue to light, but exhibit varying/differing forward voltage drops, light output, or color/wavelength.

Missing contacts are the leading cause of LED failure. Normally this is caused by driving the LED beyond its maximum published specifications, and we can tell by visual and microscopic inspections, and electrical tests, whether an led has suffered a catastrophic current overload, or whether someone applied too much pressure when repositioning or removing the LED. If the LED has no visible damage we will send it to the manufacturer for testing. The manufacturer will determine if it is covered under the warranty. If it is determined that the LED was defective when shipped, we will replace the LED(s) at no charge (postage paid).

HOWEVER; all items are otherwise sold as-is, and no guarantee is made as to fitness to a particular application, and since we have no control of the electrical supply or circuits you are using to drive the leds, we do not offer a warranty as to how long they will continue to operate. We assume no liability for improper use, and we will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damage due to defective, or improper use of products.

Please note: We are not responsible for packages damaged or lost during transit or for delays caused by the shipper. If you desire, insurance is available. If you didn't purchase insurance and your item gets lost, don't blame us or expect us to replace your lost merchandise, as we have proof that we delivered it to the shipper, and what happens after the shipper receives it is beyond our control.

Leds are tested by either us or the manufacturer, before they leave our facility. Since leds are very sensitive to over current, please hook them up correctly so that they are protected from over current conditions. We offer Toll Free Technical Support for all products we sell, so we can tell you how to hook up leds safely.. If you try and return leds that you have burnt up, we can tell right away, and you dont get your money back . We have a led failure rate from our suppliers of less than .001 %, so led warranty issues shouldnt be a problem.

If one of our covered products arrives dead on arrival, Don't Panic.....We will make it right.

Call or e-mail us, let us know what is going on, we will ask you to ship it back to us, and as long as it really is DOA, we will either send you another one ( if we have one left ) , or refund your money.

Please make sure you know what you are buying, and that it will work for what you intend, and how to hook it up and use it safely, because its really embarrassing when someone try's to return something that works fine, or they try to return something they blew up, or they just either didn't want it, or couldn't figure out how to hook it up, or it doesn't do what they thought it would, or it doesn't work or interface with the hardware or software they have, because in those cases, there are no returns or refunds.

The current limiting resistors can get hot also and should be kept away from flammable materials. We are not responsible if you burn your finger or burn your house down because you installed them incorrectly.

Buyer acknowledges its responsibility to obtain any license to export, re-export or import as may be required.
